WHAT IS PLATELET-RICH PLASMA (PRP)?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) can be used with microneedling on the face to greatly enhance your results and it also can be used for hair restoration. PRP is an autologous concentrated preparation of platelets and the associated growth factors in a small volume of plasma. Platelets are a natural source of a number of growth factors in their natural and biologically-determined ratios.

The PRP at Remedy Hair Restoration & Medical Spa is a generated by a system that produces the highest concentration of platelets.

Platelet-Rich Plasma is prepared by taking a small sample of the patient's own blood, then separating the PRP from Platelet-Poor Plasma (PPP), via centrifugation. Next, the PRP is collected and applied to the treatment site. The whole preparation process only takes up to 15 minutes.

PLATELET GROWTH FACTORS

Upon activation, platelets release growth factors and other molecules. These growth factors are regeneration-promoting signaling molecules, such as Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF), Transforming Growth Factor group (TGF), Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) and others. These molecules are shown to regulate the healing cascade, including inflammation and cell proliferation.

I have been going to Dr. Rosner for almost two years for PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatments for hair loss. I have had great success with it and am now down to only two treatments per year. I recently added hair removal on my upper lip (I'm female) and will also add body contouring once I lose a few more pounds. It's a great place and his prices are reasonable.
