water background section

What is hydration and why is it vital?

Hydration is crucial to regulate body temperature, keep joints lubricated, prevent infections, deliver nutrients to cells, remove toxins, and keep organs functioning properly. Being well-hydrated also improves sleep, cognition, and mood. Water is a building block of new cells and the key nutrient every cell relies on for survival. More than half of your weight is composed of water and it's very important to maintain this level.

What are vitamins?

Substances that our bodies need to develop and function normally. IV therapy can help you get well AND keep you well.

FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON IV THERAPY

1. How much time is needed for an IV?
It takes about 45-60 minutes to complete the infusion. The time also depends on how much fluid you are receiving, the size of the catheter, and your body. You will be in a private relaxing environment with complimentary WIFI along with a personal television.

2. Is there any pain?
The only pain you may experience is with the starting of the IV. Our trained professionals have been starting IVs for many years and will make you very comfortable. After the IV is started, there should be no pain.

3. Can anyone get an IV?
We only treat adults in our facility and require that patient be at least 18 years of age. Your safety is our biggest concern and every patient will meet with Dr. Rosner prior to your first infusion to make sure you are a good candidate.

4. Why IV Therapy?
The beneficial effects from the IV come from rapidly replacing fluids, electrolytes, minerals, and vitamins. This method delivers 100% of each vitamin directly into your blood stream. IV administration is superior to the oral route because it bypass the gastrointestinal tract which then has a faster rate of absorption, faster effect of the medications, and allows 100% of absorption. Also, IV therapy deliveries high concentrations of nourishing vitamins unattainable with the oral route

5. Who starts the IV?
All our IVs are started by licensed medical professionals including nurses and doctors.

6. Any Side Effects from IVs?
When a needle enters the skin, there is a small risk of infection, bleeding, bruising, and slight pain. We always try to avoid these common side effects by using sterile prep, proper needle size, and using trained professionals.

7. What is the cost?
IV therapies start at $99.00 and goes up depending on the amount of fluid, minerals, and vitamins.

8. How frequent could I get an IV?
Patients can technically receive IV therapy on a daily basis, however most get 1-4 IVs per month.

9. Can medical insurance pay for the treatments?
We don't accept insurance but do accept Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Saving Accounts (HSA).

10. Any membership or package prices?
Yes, we do offer memberships and packages.
